Sacred Ground

about

Longing is what leads the heart home at last.

lyrics

So long alone, seeking Sacred Ground
Barefoot on stone, dowsing for the sound
Of joyful Life’s water flow, it’s the heart where the water is found

A clear golden stream in what once was a barren place
I wake to my true heart’s dream, eyes open to Life’s sweet grace
My innocence washed clean, the light of hope on my face

And now my heart so full, my dreams take wing above
I sing the song of my soul, let the beauty I love
Become the path ‘neath my feet

And may love consecrate the work of my two hands
That they may heal and soothe, blessed by the winds

And now this quiet joy flows through my heart, my veins
I look to the evening sky, last light casting through the pines
Reverent delight, walking the land’s songlines

No longer alone, I’m walking on Sacred Ground
Rich earth over stone, Beauty springs forth all around
At last I have come home, I hear only Blessing resound

And now my heart so full, my dreams take wing above
I sing the song of my soul, let the beauty I love
Become the path ‘neath my feet
It is Sacred Ground beneath my feet
